SkyWhen is operated by Muntaseer Rahman, trading as Writers Motion— Room 3, Level 7, Eastern Plus Commercial Complex, 145 Shantinagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. For any privacy question, email hello@skywhen.com.

From you, at checkout.Your email address, the inputs to your star map (date, time, location, the words you want printed), and the design choices you make in the customizer. Stripe collects your payment details on our behalf — we never see your full card number.

Automatically. Basic technical data when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referrer. We use this for fraud prevention, error monitoring, and understanding which parts of the site work.

If you opt in. You may opt in to occasional product emails at checkout. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use a small number of third-party services to run SkyWhen. Each handles only what it needs to do its job:

• Stripe— processes payments and stores card data securely.
• Supabase— stores order records and the generated files until you download them.
• Resend— sends your download link and (if you opt in) product emails.
• Render— runs the rendering pipeline that produces your files.
• Vercel— serves the website and handles DNS / requests.
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim— powers the location search. Your typed query is sent to their service.
• Google Analytics (GA4)— helps us see how visitors use the site (which pages they read, where they came from). It uses cookies. In the EU/EEA and UK we wait for you to tap “Accept” on the banner before it loads; elsewhere it loads automatically.
• Plausible— a privacy-friendly analytics tool we self-host. It counts page views without cookies and doesn’t track you across sites.

We do not sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers.

Generated files. Your bundle remains downloadable for 30 days from purchase, then is automatically deleted from storage.

Order records.We keep purchase records (email, order ID, amount) for as long as we’re required to for tax and accounting purposes, typically several years.

Marketing emails. If you opted in, we keep your email until you unsubscribe.

Essential cookies needed to operate the site (and one small cookie that remembers whether you’ve seen the consent banner) are set on every visit. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, but only after consent in the EU/EEA and UK. Stripe may set cookies during checkout — see Stripe’s privacy policy for details. We don’t use third-party advertising cookies.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection regulator.

To make any of these requests, email hello@skywhen.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually under 30 days.

SkyWhen operates out of Bangladesh. Some of our service providers (Stripe, Vercel, etc.) process data in other countries. By using SkyWhen you consent to that transfer.

We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be highlighted in this section.
