Terms of service.

SkyWhen (“we”, “us”) is an independent studio operated by Muntaseer Rahman, trading as Writers Motion— Room 3, Level 7, Eastern Plus Commercial Complex, 145 Shantinagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. By using the SkyWhen website at skywhen.com or buying a product, you agree to these terms.

A digital bundle — a set of print files, wallpapers, and social-format images of a star map calculated for the date, time, and location you provide. Pricing is shown on the customize page before checkout. We accept payment through Stripe.

Files are delivered by email shortly after purchase. See our refunds page for delivery timing and refund terms.

When you buy a SkyWhen bundle, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use those files for personal and gifting purposes. That includes printing, framing, sharing online, and using as personal wallpaper.

You may not resell the files, redistribute them at scale, or use them as part of a commercial product without written permission. The underlying SkyWhen software, templates, and brand remain ours.

We calculate the sky from public astronomical data using the coordinates and timestamp you provide. We take care to be accurate, but small visual differences between rendered output and other planetarium software are normal — different tools make different stylistic choices.

You’re responsible for the inputs (date, time, location, your words). If you tell us the wrong date and the file reflects the wrong sky, that’s not a defect. We’ll still regenerate it for you on request, though.

Don’t use SkyWhen to create files that contain hate speech, harassment, sexual content involving minors, or other clearly harmful content. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders that violate this.

We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase, for any reason. Full details on our refunds page.

SkyWhen is provided as-is. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to your purchase or use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost gift moments, missed deliveries, etc.). We’ll always try to make it right, but we can’t backstop everything.

We may update these terms occasionally. The version on this page is the current one, with the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in this section.

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Bangladesh.
